As it happens with almost every person on this planet, when one meets a stranger, he tries to distance himself from that person. But when one have to meet the person daily, there isn't any thing strange about him. May be the action performed by them might turn into strange accidents, but they are no more strangers. Exactly the same emotions were encountered by every one who joined the GMCS Batch of June, 2016 (Batch No.25). The day started by Two Gangs (SIES & Non-SIES) but as the time took its course, the Gangs got crushed automatically. Presentations, Games, Role Plays, Plays, Dramas, Thumka's etc didn't gave us the opportunity to know the speed of time slipping like sand from tight wrist. But invincible Time finally gave us what we knew about but hoped it should't turn out- THE LAST DAY.
As we were to wind up, it was mutually decided to go to a cafe in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai. At that point of time I was not even aware about the name of the Cafe. The only thought that came up was "Kishan itne logo ke saath le jaa raha hai to accha hi hooga....."
On reaching the Cafe, I got to know about the name...70 BEANS. Just stepping in, the first view to caught up my eyes was a shelf full of books. Not because I am a book worm, but that something i saw for the first time in any cafe. Books ??? The quest for knowing more about the cafe slowly started raising its head. But still some counter thoughts were clashing within the head. Finally the Quest was the winner. "Jisko Jo Sochna hoga Soche, I found the cafe Unique, I should know more about it."
Going through the menu, spaghetti was superseded by Pastas in pink sauce. With placing up of order, I took the opportunity to have word with Owner/Manager as I requested the same to A.J (the guy who took the order). Meanwhile, I took the time to move around in the cafe. Board games, pool table, vintage photograph collection on the walls etc were just adding up to the Quest. Once the Pasta was served, With the first morsel, some voice within said, "Wow...!!! This is Heaven." A perfect blend of taste and flavors, as they say in Industry to customers, 'Made With Love'. When the meal was over, with Chocolate frappe in hand, The most awaited moment arrived. The owner was finally available.
After a formal introduction, on being asked to know the history & idea that led to starting up of 70Beans, Ruchita Jain, the Partner, replied "I always loved cooking & experimenting with something new ways and means to existing recipes in India & across the globe". But it was the passion & love for cooking that always inspired Ruchita to make a difference. Belonging from a Technical educational & Career background, its was not an easy task. But as she narrated the whole incident, any person could imagine the pains & Hard work that let to setting up & growing up of 70 Beans.
Uniqueness has its own signature, & it was visible evidently. The Cafe hosted a book launch titled "Dating Isn't for Dummies" authored by ILA on 10th June, 2016.
On being asked about it, Ruchita answered "I like reading books & always wished to have a story telling event at my place." But she made sure that the content of book is decent and enjoyable by all. The cafe had planned a music concert promoting a fresh talent from colleges & other professional groups in July, 2016. this is not yet the end. The cafe also review its menu after a reasonable time & also accommodates the suggestions made by the highly respected dignitaries i.e their customers.
Still many questions were moving around, but respecting the time of other, I have to cut it short & end the conversation, being cherishable & one of the most enjoyed moment of life. I wished to capture the moment, and thus I requested Mrs. Ruchita to autograph the book so that I add the same to my collection.
With the promise to come back & enjoy many such more moment, Thanking her, taking her leave, the memorable day and the most happiest time came to and end.
